Art gallery walk in South Tahoe

On Dec. 18 from 4-7pm is the third Friday Gallery Art Walk in South Lake Tahoe. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

South Shore’s Village Center is the place for art lovers to visit. Located a block from the casinos and next door to the Heavenly Village.

Handcrafted jewelry, Tahoe landscape photography, and original and limited edition paintings, this new Art Center of South Lake Tahoe “has it all.”

Visit the Village Center on the third Friday of the month between 4-7pm for their Gallery Walk event. Many of the galleries feature live artist demonstrations and serve wine and hors d’oeuvres.

TOCCATA in concert in Tahoe

The Orchestra and Community Choral Artists of the Tahoe Area presents a concert series featuring the TOCCATA Chamber Orchestra and Chorus with violin soloists Ruth Lenz and Andrew Sords playing concertos of Bach and Vivaldi. Tahoe performances are Jan. 16 at 7:30pm at CalNeva Resort in Crystal Bay (dinner packages available); Jan. 17 at 3pm at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in South Lake Tahoe; and Jan. 18 at 3pm in the Squaw Valley Chapel. www.toccatatahoe.com




USFS Federal Advisory Committee meeting

Lake Tahoe Basin Federal Advisory Committee (LTFAC) is scheduled to meet from 1-4pm Dec. 14 at the U.S. Forest Service, Emerald Bay Room, 35 College Drive, South Lake Tahoe.

LTFAC will address issues related to federal activities at Lake Tahoe. Items on the agenda include: aquatic invasive species management; environmental improvement plan update; forest management on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, and public comment.

Mt. Rose Santa Ski Crawl

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe hosts the Santa Ski Crawl Dec. 12 when those in Santa suits, along with elves and Mrs. Claus, pay only $39/person for a lift ticket.




Winter Solstice party

Kirkwood, Moment Skis, and the Divided Sky present Level One’s new ski movie, giveaways and Dj after party at the Dec. 18 Winter Solstice Party. Fun begins at the Divided Sky in Meyers at 8pm.
