Holiday student concert at MontBleu

The 15th annual MontBleu Holiday Extravaganza is Dec. 15-16 in the MontBleu Showroom at 7pm. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors, free for those under 5. Tickets are available at the door.

The show consists of 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th grade choirs, as well as a Faculty/Parent choir.

Food Fest on the South Shore

Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation’s Food Fest netted $23,000 in 2009 and is looking to exceed that mark at tonight’s fund raiser.

The event is from 6:30-10pm at Harveys in Stateline.

Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.

South Tahoe basketball fund raiser

The South Tahoe Boys Basketball program is hosting its 3rd annual Ernie’s Burger Night on Dec. 2 from 5-7 pm.

If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets they can call Chris Proctor at (530) 543.5472 and he will make arrangements to have basketball players deliver the tickets.

Cost is $10 each and includes a “burger, drink, and fries”. All proceeds go to the Boys Basketball Program.




Tahoe Wildlife Forum

Tahoe Wildlife Forum on Jan. 28 from 6-9pm at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences, 291 County Club Drive, Incline Village.

A film about coyotes and one on bears will be shown before the discussion begins.

Panelists includes: Madonna Dunbar, IVGID resource conservationist; Rebecca Sawyer Williams, IVGID resource conservation technician; Ann Bryant, director of BEAR League; and Cheryl Millham, director of Lake Tahoe Wildlife Center, with with additional anticipated representation by the Nevada Department of Wildlife, Washoe County Sheriff’s Department and Washoe County Community Outreach.
