Kings Beach fashion show

Women’s Club of North Tahoe hosts a fashion show and luncheon at the North Tahoe Conference Center in Kings Beach. The cost is $50 and includes fashion show by Cabona’s and Isabella O, music by Tim Callicrate, door prizes, raffles and silent auction. Community fundraiser for Jaycee Lee Dugard and family at Horizon hotel-casino, Stateline, $25 includes hearing a variety of bands-food-drinks (non-alcoholic), kids under 11 are free. Tickets via Ticketmaster or the casino box office. Ticket proceeds and those from raffle and silent auction will go to the fund set up at Bank of the West by the Soroptimists.

Lecture by Olympic historian David Antonucci

Tahoe Olympic historian David Antonucci leads a lecture and walking tour of the 1960 Winter Olympic sites as part of the continuing Squaw Valley Institute speaker series. The event begins at the Squaw Valley Chapel with an optional picnic and hike of the West Shore Olympic Biathlon site in the afternoon. A $10 donation is requested, and a separate $15 charge for the West Shore hike (includes a boxed lunch).
