Fund set up to help Whittell grad

Debbie Dutton, who works at the Barton and Stateline labs, has a son who was recently in a serious car accident in Mexico.

Because of the accident Jerel Dutton lost one leg from the knee down, has a fractured skull and multiple spinal fractures. He is a graduate of Whittell High School.

Debbie and Lance Dutton are now with their son at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla in San Diego.

St. Theresa receives grant from Raley’s for music

St. Theresa School is the recipient of a $1,500 grant from Raley’s.

The South Lake Tahoe school was one of four schools nominated in the Northern California region.

They received the most online votes and will be presented with a check Dec. 14 at 6pm during the Christmas performance of the Nativity Play. This will take place in the gym.

The school will use the grant money to bring musical theater to all grade levels.

St. Theresa gearing up for Christmas dinner

St. Theresa Catholic Church welcomes anyone and everyone to its Fifth annual Community Christmas Dinner and Festive Celebration on Christmas Day beginning at 3pm and continuing into the early evening.

The holiday event will be in Grace Hall on the corner of Highway 50 and Lyons Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.

If you know anyone who would be alone on Christmas, or does not have the wherewithal to prepare a holiday meal, encourage them to come and celebrate this day with others.
