    South Tahoe housing Mono County inmates

    El Dorado County Jail in South Tahoe is housing inmates who are not accused of committing crimes in its jurisdiction. Mono County called on its neighbor after the Bridgeport jail in the Highway 395 corridor flooded during last week’s storm. It’s expected to take a couple weeks before the jail is livable.
