It’s opening day at Heavenly and Northstar.

Not all the runs are open, but those that are have a mix of natural and man-made white stuff.

Curtis Fong, the Guy from Tahoe, is back with his ski reports. Today marks the first one for the 2012-13 ski season.

Fong, an award-winning writer who has been covering the ski industry for decades, will be providing daily ski reports for Lake Tahoe News.
