Jerry Blackwill of the Truckee Donner Railroad Society will tell the story of the first passenger train arriving in Truckee from Sacramento, the railroad’s construction over the Sierra, and how a civil engineer and four businessmen brought the dream to reality. The June 16 talk will be from 5-6:30pm at Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center. Cost is $5.
